The Mathaithai Trail Run & MTB Race takes place once a year at Lebone II – College of the Royal Bafokeng, outside Rustenburg.

Now in its eighth year, the fun and challenging Mathaithai Trail Run features the 20km Tshufi Hill Challenge, the 10km Mathaithai Trail Run, the 5km Fun Run and the 2km Kiddies Fun Walk. The Mathaithai Mountain Bike Race gives cyclists a choice of 3 distances; the 45km Challenge Ride, the 15km Let's Get Lost Ride, and the 5km Let's Go! Fun Ride.

All races and rides take place on trails and tracks through the beautiful bushveld on the Lebone campus and adjacent property to the school.
